Stories and Stats- Rave On For The Avon Panel Supported by Finisterre

The lovely team at Finisterre hosted a discussion in their gorgeous Bath store with Rave On for the Avon. We explored how important storytelling, joy and creativity are to blend with the important research and data dedicated groups are sharing about the state of our rivers.

Emily Mortimer, Finisterre Bath's Manager organised a screening at her store during our preview-run last summer. It meant so much to have Emily's support and cheerleading as we were just getting the word out! Along with myself, we had the pleasure of hearing from Adventure Mermaid and Children's Author Lindsey Cole and Emma Brisdion of The Rivers Trust to discuss the need for stories that explore our relationship to rivers in this modern world.

The Rivers Trust are sending their fantastic campaigners and river experts to our screenings around the country including

Redruth Regal Cinema 26th Feb at 7.30pm where Jay Elvy-Holmes of the Westcountry Rivers Trust will join the award-winning conservationist Katie Maggs Q&A.

Michelle Walker, Technical Director of The Rivers Trust will join Rowan Clarke, writer for Outdoor Swimmer and activist Joe Bateman at the Plaza Cinema in Weston-Super-Mare on 5th March at 7.30pm.

Enjoy our discussion and please spread the word of our upcoming screenings!

Thanks again to the lovely team at Finisterre Bath and at their Headquarters for cheerleading us, supporting us with products for our crowdfunder and believeing in this film! We can't thank you enough. Let's keep raving to save our rivers!

Thank you to the talented Luca Gaspare for DPing and editing this reel and the panel discussion and to Scarlett Blackstome for her excellent camera work and assistance on the day and to Archie Saunders for his gorgeous photography.
